At Huron Heights Secondary School, the course theme is Coming of Age (Innocence and Experience). The first year of high school is a time of challenges and change, and oftentimes students find themselves questioning traditional authority figures – those who belong to an older generation such as parents, other family members, teachers, employers, family friends and neighbours. The stories we read and the characters we study this year will help us to come to an understanding of the eternal struggle between generations.
